Need a good belly laugh?  There are lots of funny movies to watch while pregnant. If you happen to be nervous about your pregnancy, some of these movies can even put you at ease… at least a little bit. Even if they don’t, at least you can pass the time away with some good humor. Choosing a few great feel-good movies to add to your Netflix queue is pretty much a must during pregnancy, especially if you happen to be on bed rest due to complications.  Here are a few possibilities to add to your “must watch” list.

Funny Movies to Watch While Pregnant

Waitress

Waitress, starring Keri Russell, is about a woman (Jenna) who is trapped in an unhappy marriage and dealing with an unplanned pregnancy. She also works in a diner and makes delicious pies. Jenna enters a pie baking contest in hopes of winning the $25,000 grand prize. Watch the movie to find out if she wins and decides to move on with her life.

Knocked Up

Ben Stone doesn’t have a real job. He lives with roommates and works for a celebrity porn website when he wants to. Alison Scott just got a job with E! The actual on-the-air position she really wanted. Everything is going great her until she meets Ben at the bar and gets pregnant. It seems like these two people are totally wrong for each other. After the baby is born, is there even a chance they’ll end up being a family? Sometimes, love does conquer all!

Father of the Bride (Part Two)

Funnyman Steve Martin is the father of the bride, in this sequel to the first movie. He plays the role of George, who happens to be going through a midlife crisis. George is just getting over the trauma of his daughter getting married and now he finds out he’s going to be a grandfather AND a father! If that isn’t surprising enough, George decides he wants to sell the house. Will he be able to handle everything he has on his plate? Tune in, to find out. His life is definitely NOT predictable.

Look Who’s Talking

The 1989 film look who’s talking is told (in part) from baby Mikey’s point of view. Mikey’s mom had an affair with a married man, who she discovers is also cheating on her. When she finds out, she goes into labor and is transported to the hospital by a friendly cab driver. The same driver, who also witnesses the birth, ends up having feelings for Mikey’s mom Mollie. The movie stars John Travolta and Kirstie Alley. Bruce Willis is the voice of Mikey.

Baby Mama

Baby Mama stars Tina Fey as a single businesswoman (Kate) who hires a surrogate to have a child for her. She does this because she has a very slight chance of having a baby on her own. The problem is, this “baby mama” ends up being obnoxious and immature. It becomes an even bigger problem when she has no place to stay and moves in with Kate. They have a long journey ahead of them. But, when all is said and done, they actually end up being friends.

These are just five of many funny movies to watch while pregnant. Whether you prefer a plot that’s super funny or one that’s a little touching, you’ll find it in this list. The question is, which one are you going to watch first?
