RV-

RV is a 2006 road comedy film starring Robin Williams, Jeff Daniels, Cheryl Hines, Kristin Chenoweth, Joanna “JoJo” Levesque and Josh Hutcherson. Bob Munro is a stressed-out, over-worked executive who has promised his family he would take them on a vacation to Hawaii. However, his boss demands that he meet with the owners of a family company instead. Bob doesn’t tell his family the truth and rents an RV, telling his family that a family vacation to the Rocky Mountains in Colorado would help establish the family relationships once again. However, the family deals with numerous disasters and incidents. Will the family be able to retrieve their forgotten family bonds?

The Great Outdoors-

The Great Outdoors is a 1988 comedy movie starring Dan Aykroyd, John Candy, Annette Bening, Stephanie Faracy, Robert Prosky, Lucy Deakins and Lewis Arquette. Chet, his wife Connie and their sons Benny and Buck are on a family vacation at a lake resort in Wisconsin. Things are going great until Connie’s sister, her husband and their twin girls crash the vacation. It doesn’t take long for Kate’s husband Roman to get on Chet’s nerves since he is a know-it-all kind of person. But when Chet finds out why Kate and her family are there, does it change these family dynamics at all?

On Golden Pond-

On Golden Pond is a 1981 drama film starring Katherine Hepburn, Henry Fonda, Doug Mckeon, Dabney Coleman and William Lanteau. Norman, a retired professor, and his wife Ethel love spending their summers at their cottage on Golden Pond. This year, Chelsea, their daughter they haven’t seen in years, decides to visit them at the cottage. She and her finance, Bill, are headed to Europe but leave Bill’s 13-year old son Billy with her parents. When they return two weeks later, Chelsea is now married and discovers Billy has the relationship with her dad that she always dreamed of. Will Chelsea and her dad finally bond?

  1. These are some fun movies! Our family likes to watch some of the longer movies, like Ben Hur when we’re driving. If we’re going to be stuck in the car for hours and hours, we might as well watch one of those movies that also takes hours and hours. :-)

  2. On Golden Pond always makes me cry because it reminds me of my dad and our relationship. Sometimes a little strained. But when she calls him Norman and then says Dad at the end it just reminds me how much I miss and love my dad.
