When you’re a new mom, it can be challenging to navigate the world of baby products. From the right diaper to the best car seat, you’re inundated with choices. One thing you really want to get just right, though, is your baby’s feeding system. Whether you’re breastfeeding, formula feeding or a combination of both, at some point you’re most likely going to need a bottle. When that time comes, you want to choose a bottle that is as close to a natural nipple as possible.

My friend’s baby is 3- months-old and she recently returned to work, so she needed to find a great bottle system that her son would like. She was using Playtex Kinder-Grip bottle before I introduced her to the Playtex VentAire Bottle and Playtex Nurser with Drop-Ins Liners with the Playtex Nipple Variety Pack. Take a look at her thoughts.

Trying out the Playtex Nipple Variety Pack

Baby and I were loving the Playtex Kinder-Grip bottle, so I was excited to try the new Playtex bottle feeding systems: VentAire Bottle as well as the Playtex Nurser with Drop-Ins Liners! Since I am used to the Playtex Kinder-Grip bottle, I tried the Playtex VentAire at first with the NaturaLatch nipple!

I liked it because it has micro-channel vents in the back of the bottle that let the baby suck less air. Most bottles vent at the top through the nipple. Having them in the back made my baby less gassy which made burping easier!  The bottle also makes it so much easier for upright feeding, which is great because it reduces ear infections.

The angled design makes it easy to hold up for him, yet it is also slender enough for him to hold on his own a bit. While he’s not ready to completely hold it for feeding, it’s great for practice! My baby really liked the NaturaLatch nipple with this one. He found it easy to suck!

There are 2 different flow nipples- slow flow and medium flow- I used the slow flow type nipples.

Then I tried the Playtex Nurser Drop-In Liners with the Breastlike shape nipple! I am absolutely in love with this one! Since I am still breastfeeding, I thought it would be easier for baby! I was right!

It made suction easier for him too. It is designed to mimic the breast.  It is also easier to feed him when the bottle tilts! It was not difficult for him to switch to breastfeeding after.  I love the Drop-In Liners because it means less bottle cleaning. As I don’t have a dishwasher, it is a timesaver for me especially at night. The Playtex Nurser with Drop-In Liners also help reduce gas because the suction doesn’t let much air mix with the milk. As your baby sucks the formula out, the liners collapse, like a vacuum effect. This one is also designed to help reduce colic. While my baby doesn’t have a problem with that, it’s good to know!

Another feature I am in love with: the labeling on the nipples: absolutely helpful! You know when you are in a hurry to feed baby and he is eager to eat, you don’t want to waste time checking which one is which!

I am absolutely in love with the Playtex Nipple Variety Pack as well as the bottles. I will continue to use them! I highly recommend them! I mostly use the Playtex Nurser with Drop-In Liners because it is time saver for me!

Playtex Treats Your Baby like an Individual

As you can see, my friend loved the Playtex Nipple Variety Pack and bottle! Playtex knows that your baby has his own personality complete with specific likes and dislikes. That’s why they make the Playtex Nipple Variety Pack. Trying out the different nipples in the pack helps you figure out which one your baby likes best. No more spending a fortune on a huge package of nipples only to find out that your baby won’t use that type!

The Playtex Nipple Variety Pack contains NaturaLatch, Breastlike Shape, Fullsized and Angled nipples. All are designed to be as close to mom as possible and make switching between breastfeeding and bottle feeding a breeze.  We love that the nipples are BPA –free, too! 1. It’s so great that you’re able to exclusively breastfeed! Yes, these are quite close to the real thing, perfect for breastfeeding moms who have to supplement with bottles.

  1. Love all the options. We breastfeed and only used bottles for daycare, but sometimes the kids would not take the bottles we had. I bet on of these would of worked!

  2. I love that there are so many different options out there. We tried at least 10 different bottles/nipples with my daughter with no luck :( I’m sure having these types of options would have helped greatly.

  3. The variety pack is genius, I wish they had done that about 13 years ago when I struggled with a colicky baby! Glad you have found something that works best for your sweet baby!
