Dadchelor parties are blowing up on the internet. Traditional baby shower typically only includes the ladies. While it’s fun to celebrate with the girls, more and more guys want to be included in the party. Then came couples showers where everyone was invited and were sometimes made to be more gender neutral. (I had a couples shower, and it was fun to see everyone all at once!) Now the party fever has hit the guys, as new dad “Manchelor” parties (also sometimes called man showers) are being thrown just for the guys. These man shower parties usually come with a dose of humor, drinks and of course no girls allowed! Need some ideas for planning a baby shower for dads? We’ve got you covered!
Race Car Dadchelor Party
Vroom vroom! On the surface, some Dadchelor parties can look a lot like a regular baby shower. This cute race car theme is the perfect way to gather the guys to celebrate the new baby.
Big Game Dadchelor Party
Invite the guys to watch the game, have a few drinks and celebrate a new baby! Check out those baby shower cakes! So cute and clever!
Diapers, Diapers & More Diapers
Every new dad can expect to be changing a lot of diapers. Why not specify on the invitation that everyone should bring diapers for the Dadchelor to help a guy out? A common theme (if your guy is drinks): guests bring diapers in exchange for access to liquid libations. If you’re not throwing a party with alcohol, you could easily make diapers the “entrance fee” for a cool raffle.
Have you ever played the diaper game where you melt several different kinds of chocolate bars in baby diapers. Guests then have to guess which candy bar is in which diaper. This game is a keeper for Dadchelor parties!
Dad Utility Vest
If you want to load dad up with everything he needs, why not make him a baby utility vest? Fill the pockets with everything from wipes to shampoo to pacis. Dad will be prepared for anything that is thrown at him!
Babies and BBQ
This is another great theme for your man shower. Throw some burgers on the grill, pop a few cold ones and celebrate your favorite dad.
Baby Dress Up
We’re not going to lie. Sometimes things get a little wild and crazy at the Dadchelor parties. Dad’s start having a good time and suddenly everyone is getting into the party. Have some costumes on hand check out this hilarious guy taking one for the team. Oh yeah, golf can be fun for a Dadchelor party too!
Whatever you decide to do at your Dadchelor party, just know your guys have your back.
So have you ever thrown a Dadchelor party? Or a manshower? Tell me about your favorite baby shower for your favorite guy in the comments!

What an awesome idea! We had a diaper party through my mother’s job. It was a lot of fun and very much needed. Wish I would have thought to do a party like this for my hubs!
These look like such fun! My husband would have liked to have had one of these parties back when we were having babies!
Wow I had no idea Dadchelor parties existed! This is so cute…now I cant wait to have a baby so my future husband can have a Dadchelor party so fun!
I love this idea! That diaper entrance fee would have been great to do before my twins were born. We go through A LOT of diapers. Lol
Fun stuff indeed!
It’s nice to see something being included for the fellas.
This is a fantastic idea. It is a great way to make Dad feel included. I will have to share this with my friends that are expecting.

I’m liking this trend. These are some really fun ideas. I think plenty of food is necessary.
A man shower yessss! My husband jokes when I’m on the way out the door to a shower, “Tell so and so thanks for not making it a co-ed baby shower.” LOL. But I bet if he had a man shower to go to, he’d totally go – he just wants a hot tub and a cigar.
I never thought about a dadchelor party. This is awesome. I have heard of baby showers where women AND men attend. This is a great idea, I’m sharing!
I had never heard of a Dadchelor party before now. Dads deserve to be in on the fun too.
Ha! I love it! I especially love the photo of dad dressed as a baby! Still laughing!
This is one of the best ideas I’ve ever seen. My husband actually remarked to me on our first baby, “You know, we’re BOTH going to be parents.” I couldn’t believe he felt like that.
That is such a cute idea! Women always have baby showers. I think a dadchelor party is a fantastic idea.
