Drink your veggies with these two delicious juice recipes, plus check out an awesome Christmas gift idea for the health-conscious on your list!

In honor of Vegetarian Month, we’re sharing a few delicious juice recipes that I think you’ll love, plus a fabulous gift idea for the health-conscious on your list!  Want to hear something funny?  I was a vegetarian for 17 years, but I’ve never been a big fan of vegetables. I know, I know, what kind of vegetarian doesn’t like veggies? I’ve always been an insanely picky eater. Since veggies are such an important part of our diet, I had to find creative ways to sneak them in. Juice recipes are a great way to get more veggies in your diet. Since I can mix them with fruits, I can almost completely conceal the flavor. If you do happen to love the taste of veggies, feel free to add more to the recipe to bring out that flavor.

Why are veggies so important to your diet?

When the body takes in the right vitamins and minerals, it shows through your health. Just look at what these fresh vegetable ingredients can offer!

  • Carrots provide an excellent source of vitamins A, B, and C. Rich in beta-carotene and carotenoids, they can help protect the body from cancer, cardiac disease, macular degeneration and more.
  • Celery is a natural cleanser and detoxifier. Containing silica, a mineral that makes skin and nails healthier, celery helps to strengthen joints, bones, arteries, and connective tissues.
  • Cucumbers hydrate skin and are also high in silica. High in potassium and phytosterols, cucumbers can often help lower cholesterol.
  • Kale is a low-calorie vegetable yet incredibly dense with nutrients.

A juicer makes it easy to incorporate these vegetables into your diet. By using a natural juicing motion, HUROM’s juicers produce delicious, richer-color juice full of soluble fiber. Check out these easy and delicious juice recipes that, with regular intake, are sure to have you feeling excited about squeezing some extra vegetables into your diet.

  1. I used to know a family who made juices all the time. I was always amazed by how many veggies were in the juice because all I could taste was the fruit flavors. I’ll have to get a juicer and see if I can try and fit more veggies into my diet this way.
