Frankenweenie is a 2012 black and white 3D stop-motion-animated fantasy movie that showcases the voices of Catherine O’Hara, Martin Short, Martin Landau, Charlie Tahan, Atticus Shaffer and Wynona Ryder. The movie is about a boy named Victor, a smart kid with no friends except his dog Sparky. When he has the chance to be in the school science fair, the only way his father will provide permission is if he plays baseball. Tragedy strikes during one of his baseball games and Victor is forced to use what he learned in class to remedy the situation. However, when the town gets invaded by monsters, Victor and his dog are the only ones that can save Elsa van Helsing.

 

Monsters vs. Aliens

Monsters vs. Aliens is a 2009 3D computer animated science fiction action-comedy movie that features the voices of Reese Witherspoon, Seth Rogen, Hugh Laurie, Will Arnett, Kiefer Sutherland, Rainn Wilson, Paul Rudd and Stephen Colbert. When a meteorite turns a female human into a monster, she is added to a group of monsters that have been gathered throughout the years. The group of ragtag monsters are called upon to fight off the aliens and save the world from being destroyed.

ParaNorman

ParaNorman is a 2012 3D stop-motion-animation horror comedy movie that features the voices of Kodi Smit-McPhee, Jodelle Ferland, Tucker Albrizzi, Anna Kendrick, Casey Affleck, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Leslie Mann, Jeff Garlin, Elaine Stritch and John Goodman. The movie centers on Norman Babcock, who has the ability to talk to the dead. The problem is that only his friend Neil believes that his ability is real. When he is asked to protect the town from a witch’s curse, things don’t exactly go as planned for Norman. While he is trying to save the town, he finds out the truth about the curse.

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is a 2009 computer animated science fiction comedy movie that showcases the voices of Bill Hader, Anna Faris, James Caan, Andy Samberg, Bruce Campbell, Bobb’e J. Thompson, Mr. T, Benjamin Bratt and Neil Patrick Harris. This movie is about the life of Flint Lockwood, a genius who seems to invent things that aren’t really useful. When his mother passes away, his father doesn’t think he should continue his inventions. However, when the town suffers an economic crisis, Flint uses the opportunity to test out his newest invention, a machine that can make food from water. The machine ends up in the air and begins raining food on the town. But, Flint knows something is wrong with his machine and he must go against a shifty town mayor to figure things out.
