Cheap Family Vacations to the Caribbean

Comfort Suites Paradise Island (Bahamas-Paradise Island): A small resort with 228 rooms.  Here is why you want to vacation here: kids 11 and under stay for free, breakfast is free and so is the WiFi (who said nothing in life is free?)  Not to mention, you can use all the amenities at the Atlantis Resort which is just next door, again free of charge.  This means you can use their lagoons, lazy river, pools, water slides and beach.  And if you are feeling lucky, you can try your hand at their casinos too.  This just might be the best way to enjoy the Bahamas, without spending a ton of money!  You can always use the pool at Comfort Suites, as it has a swim up bar, and who doesn’t love a swim up bar?

Crown Paradise Club Cancun: This resort is rated in the top 10 in the “Top 10 for Families in Latin America and the Caribbean” list from TripAdvisor.  Each room has an oceanview balcony or patio.  Book a Standard Oceanview Room and up to two kids can stay free!  Chances have it you won’t be spending too much time in your room, so if this fits into your family size, I would definitely go with this room!  This room comes with either a king bed or two double beds, so if you have more than two kids, you can request a rollaway for an extra charge, which would balance out or still save you money!  Children’s activities are free, but jet skis and parasailing will cost you more.

Rooms on the Beach, Ocho Rios (Jamaica): All 99 rooms here have ocean views and free breakfast, need I say more?  It is not an inclusive resort, more like a hotel, so all the amenities will cost extra, but they do offer water skiing, windsurfing, scuba diving and parasailing.  Branch out into town and you have shopping, restaurants, horseback riding and snorkeling to experience.  You can spend your days lounging on the white sand beaches while your kids enjoy the crystal waters.
