I can get on board with that, how about you? If so, check out these snack items created by a company simply called KIND. KIND Bars: Great Healthy Snacks for the Whole Family
KIND healthy snacks are made with all natural ingredients including whole nuts, grains, and fruit. They pride themselves on using ingredients that aren’t artificial or difficult to pronounce and are non-GMO. Their snack bars come in a variety of flavors including Apple Cinnamon and Pecan, Almond and Coconut, and Dark Chocolate and Cherry Cashew. Their Healthy Grains Clusters combine flavors such as Cinnamon Oat Clusters with Flax Seeds, Maple Quinoa Clusters with Flax Seeds, and Honey Clusters with Toasted Coconut, just to name a few. Still wanting more variety? How about their Healthy Grains Bars in Oats and Honey, Vanilla Blueberry, or Maple Pumpkin Seeds? These are all the main products offered in just some of the many flavor combinations! If you need low sugar or gluten free, they offer specific flavors of their Healthy Grain bars to accommodate those restrictions. Antioxidants, high protein, and high fiber are all highlighted in additional flavors as well.
Now, in the past, I’ve tried buying products packed with super foods and whole ingredients for my family and myself. Unfortunately they’re all too often packed with healthy whole ingredients but taste like cardboard, or they’re delicious but I soon realize they are not as “all natural” or healthy as they advertise. I was interested to see what would be the case with KIND products.
I was excited to try the large variety of ingredients in the products I received. They aren’t just your typical oat and nut combinations. Also, at first glance I could actually see the whole grains packed into each bar. There’s no question they’re in there, and not ground down and hidden under the flavor of artificial sweeteners or chocolate chips. Their wrappers provide a clear view of the product and beneficial ingredients are stated on each wrapper as well. Upon tasting the bars I wasn’t let down. They weren’t dry or void of flavor by any means. I enjoyed the real cherry, cranberry, and apple pieces in the bars as well as the Chia seeds, quinoa, and flax seeds. I was impressed to see that the 11 oz. pouch of Healthy Grains clusters was packed with 300 mg of Omega-3’s per serving. These grains were delicious served alone as a snack, or crumbled over a cup of yogurt.
I can’t leave out one thing that really impressed me with these snacks: My 4 year old and 2 year old loved them just as much as my husband and I. I wouldn’t have been completely surprised if there was a nut ingredient or whole grain they didn’t care for but that was not the case. After a sunny afternoon of playing outside they were ready for a snack, and these did not appear to disappoint them. I mean, they gobbled them up and returned the empty wrappers with smiling faces and sticky fingers. If I wasn’t convinced then, their requests for more surely sealed the deal! In addition to their happy tummies, I didn’t have an ounce of guilt over the ingredients.
