Day 2 of #LegoDuplo 30 Days of Play: Dot-to-Dot

For the Day 2 of the LegoDuplo 30 days of play, my princess’s challenge is: Dot-to-Dot. day-2-of-legoduplo-30-days-play-dot-to-dot

The children had to build a scene just for you – and then follow it through. Lay out the numbers 1 through 5 in different spots on the ground and build a scene by adding DUPLO bricks or characters to each number.

My 4 year-old required some help from her bother organizing the numbers. She did not want any kind of help to build the scene. She is quite independent and I respect that.

Things I like about this Day 2 Challenge

It improves fine motor skills: The scenes require smaller blocks that will help improve fine motor skills. These skills are very important especially in writing and coloring.

It improves counting skills: By the end of the challenge, my daughter was able to recognize the numbers: 1 to 5 and most important: organize them.
