Drinking mugs are always a good gift because they can be used by just about anyone in a household. We love this set for its size, quality, and beautiful design. As a gift-bonus, you can add a baggie filled with hot cocoa mix and marshmallows to each mug.

Why not stick with a “neighborhood theme” and offer an adorable gingerbread house kit? These kits are the types of items that many of us will see in stores, acknowledge how cute they are, but will never actually purchase for ourselves – which is why they make the perfect gift! This kit is highly-recommended for its great taste and ease of assembly. Not to mention, it makes quite a good-looking home!

Mason Jar Gifts

Mason jars have risen in popularity and for good reason: the sky’s the limit in what you could do with these glass-wonders. For holiday presents, you can take a set of good-sized jars, much like these ones and fill them up with holiday-inspired items. You can fill jars up with ingredients of your favorite chocolate chip cookies and include the recipe on a tag. Or, you can fill them up with candy canes and truffles (or any of your favorite, mini holiday snacks). Go ahead and have fun – this is the gift that lets you be creative and control your budget!

Nothing says the holidays like cozing up with a great, big comfortable blanket. This set by Jeffrey Banks has a great plaid pattern and will play up to any holiday décor. We also love this one by Cuddl Duds because of its large size and tassel detailing.

Wrapping Paper

When it comes to being a good neighbor, we talked about good gestures and thoughtfulness. Some of the best gifts are the ones that are most practical. Pick up your neighbor a pack of wrapping paper and package it with some tape and name tags – they’ll definitely be happy you got them something they could actually use! Hint: this also makes a great, not-so-typical teacher’s gift!

  1. In case any of my neighbors read this: I would not mind if you gave me that set of coffee cups for Christmas. :) They sure are lovely. I had a set similar to them but have broken them over the years. I like the dark inside so no stains show.

  2. The mason jars are a cute idea, especially if you fill them with homemade jam or sweet treats (like make your own hot chocolate). I don’t really give much gifts to neighbors but it would be a nice gesture.

  3. Awesome gift ideas for neighbors. I don’t think I’ve considered getting my neighbors anything other than gift baskets filled with fruits and fruit cakes. These are definitely great!
