Balloon Blast

If it is a nice hot sunny day try playing this game. Gather up as many father’s and kids and divide them into equal teams. Set up two big baskets full of water balloons 30 yards from the line. One player from each team will run from the line and go to their team’s basket trying to pop a water balloon by sitting on it. When they succeeded in popping one of the balloons they run to tag in the next team member to do the same. The team that pops all their balloons wins the game. You can not jump on the balloons or try to pop them with your hands because that would be considered cheating.

Charades

Team up with your father against another father and child to play a fun game of charades. To make it more fun use movie titles or TV show titles that are your father’s favorite. The first team will write some down and give them to the person going first on the other team. Get as many as you can to gain a point and the team with the most points at the end will win. Charades as always been a great party game and both you and your father will enjoy just spending the time to gather.

Blindfold Race

Are you and your father super competitive? Are you guys athletic? Then try this exciting game. Set up an area like an obstacle course with things like planks, chairs, and tables. You team up with your dad and will have to blindfold them. You will have to direct your father through the obstacle course and help them reach the finish line before the other team does. You can set up a prize at the end for both you and your dad to enjoy together.

Just about any dad would enjoy spending his big day at home with the people he loves most, relaxing on the back deck, eating delicious BBQ and playing Father’s Day party games with his kids!

  4. These are fun ideas, especially when you’re going to celebrate Father’s day with an awesome party. We normally just have a quiet time at home but it would be nice to do this at least, even in the backyard.
