GoodNites* TRU-FIT* Underwear Helps Stop Bedwetting from Undermining Self-Confidence

Bedwetting is a lot more common than you may think. Did you know that 1 in 6 kids over age 4 wet the bed? That adds up to millions of children around the world. Here’s the thing, though: your child doesn’t care about the statistics. Saying “well, you’re not alone, tons of kids still wet the bed” isn’t going to make her feel better. Millions of faceless, nameless people does not equate a tot support group.

What does your child care about? Making sure none of her friends know her secret. That’s it. Bedwetting, as common as it is, is still embarrassing for many children. It keeps them from going on sleepovers, heading off to camp and even inviting a friend over for a slumber party at home.

There are many reasons that children wet the bed. Your pediatrician can tell you more about the cause in your child. We’re going to tell you how to lessen the blow to self-confidence!

Boost Self-Confidence in Bedwetting Children

  • Don’t yell or punish. Bedwetting is a medical condition. It’s not something your child can control, and you cannot “train” it out of them. You wouldn’t punish your child for getting the hiccups or sneezing, would you? Yelling or punishing your child will only make things worse.
  • Don’t make a huge deal out of it. When your child wets the bed, simply clean her up, wash the sheets and move on. If she wants to talk about it, fine. If not, don’t put a ton of focus on it.
  • Do keep their secret. While you may think it’s a good idea to get advice from other parents, keep your discussions to parents outside your child’s group of friends. All it takes to cause embarrassment is for one mom to accidentally speak in front of her child about your child’s bedwetting. This is especially important if your child is older. Talk to doctors, counselors and others who are bound by law to keep your confidence.
  • Do give your child outstanding nighttime protection! One of the best things you can offer your child is the closest thing to normal underwear possible that still offers protection. GoodNites* TRU-FIT* Underwear does just that.

  1. My 9 year old was a bed wetter until he was almost 8 and I wish they had these then. We changed his mattress out as soon as he stopped wetting the bed. Would have saved me a lot of money.

  2. I remember when my oldest son wet the bed as a child. I never thought to invest in products like this. I would just put a plastic bed sheet on his bed and keep going. However, if he were to spend the night some where else this could be a huge issue or make him lose his confidence. With the Good Nights TruFit, he would have the confidence and ability to spend the night with friends without them even realizing that he had accident protection on.

  3. I always do use these won both of my boys were training. They always worked like a charm. Definitely a great product.

  4. Goodnites are wonderful. They allowed my son to attend sleepovers that he other wise would have not been able to go to.
