Lego Duplo challenge: Play Make and Bake

We are already in day 8 of the Lego Duplo 30 days of play challenge. We are really enjoying it. This challenge set a routine in our family: after we finish dinner, we sit in the play room and make the challenge together. My princess says: Mommy, show me the picture (referring to the challenge) and let’s make it.

I noticed that my 10 year-old little man is eager to play with the Lego too. He helps his sister with the challenge. They sometimes argue because she wants to make it exactly as shown in the challenge and he wants to make some changes to it! I smile when I hear those discussions and I let them decide.

For the day 5 of the Lego Duplo 30 days of play challenge, little ones had to build an oven and bake treats to share: Make and Bake

My princess had fun with this challenge. She added her favorite stickers and my son made a tour on top.

They played together after: she cooked him some bread and he had to eat! It is a great way to enhance social developement and interactions with others.

For the day 6, the challenge was to play rat-a-tat-tat. It was about building a drum, then two, etc. It is an interesting challenge but we skipped because my little ones had extracurricular activities.

For day 7 of Lego Duplo challenge, it was Pattern-Play. Little ones had to build bricks and figure what comes next. It helps develop literacy and number skills.

Along with the pattern-play, they created an airplane train! I am always surprises how imaginative kids are.
